Florian Thauvin made his second debut for Marseille on Tuesday evening - but it wasn't one to remember for the winger.
Thauvin, who returned to his former club on loan last weekend, appeared as a 59th-minute substitute as OM took on Montpellier at Stade de la Mosson.
But just ten minutes later, he was shown a straight red card for a clumsy tackle on Vitorino Hilton.
However, OM still won 1-0, with Remy Cabella playing for 86 minutes and picking up a yellow card.
Meanwhile, Newcastle goalkeeper Brendan Pearson was an unused substitute for Gateshead as they drew 0-0 at Barrow.
That extended the Heed's unbeaten run to six matches.
