Written by Newcastle Utd

By Dan King - Newcastle United Club Reporter

He didn't get on the scoresheet this time, but Nile Ranger helped Sheffield Wednesday record another win on Easter Monday.

The 20-year-old striker, who got his first Owls goal in Saturday's 2-0 win at Huddersfield, started against Oldham as his side won 3-0 at Hillsborough.

Wednesday have now won all four of the games Ranger has played for them following his arrival last month. He came off after 79 minutes.

However, Gateshead's inconsistent form continues as they lost 2-0 to Grimsby with Paul Dummett playing the full game at Blundell Park.

The result leaves them in tenth position in the Blue Square Bet Premier.

In League One, MK Dons beat Tranmere 3-0 at the stadium:mk, but Alan Smith was an unused substitute.
