Mehdi Abeid continued his recent good form in the Greek Super League as he hit a brace for Panathinaikos on Sunday.

The midfielder got both goals in a 2-1 home win over Xanthi and was also booked. He also scored in a 4-0 success at Kalloni earlier in the month.

Dan Gosling completed another 90 minutes for Blackpool on Saturday but the Tangerines lost 2-1 to Championship leaders Burnley.

Conor Newton started for St. Mirren but, after picking up a yellow card and with his side two goals down, he came off in the 61st minute as the Buddies eventually went down 3-0 at Motherwell.

James Tavernier and Haris Vuckic were both selected for Rotherham's 3-3 draw with Wolves in League One, with the former playing the whole game and the latter replaced after 74 minutes.

In League Two, meanwhile, Michael Richardson was an unused substitute as Accrington beat Mansfield 3-2 while Shane Ferguson played no part in Birmingham's Championship meeting with Nottingham Forest.

On Friday, Romain Amalfitano had played the whole match as Dijon lost 3-1 to Chateauroux.
