Mehdi Abeid scored his first goal for Panathiaikos to earn his side a 1-1 draw with Veria on Saturday.

The midfielder burst down the left to squeeze home in what was his third competitive appearance for the Greek side.

Elsewhere, Shane Ferguson came from the bench in the 58th minute to help Birmingham gain a 1-1 draw with Ipswich.

Conor Newton played the whole game as St. Mirren's poor start to the season continued with a 2-1 defeat at home to Partick Thistle.

Michael Richardson also played 90 minutes for Accrington Stanley but a late Adam Reed goal saw them beaten 1-0.

However Jonathan Mitchell kept a clean sheet for Workington as they beat Stalybridge Celtic at Borough Park.
