Written by Newcastle Utd

Curtis Good and Bradden Inman faced each other in the area semi-finals of the Johnstone's Paint Trophy on Tuesday night

By Dan King - Newcastle United Club Reporter

In the battle of the Newcastle United loan players on Tuesday night, Bradden Inman came out on top against Curtis Good.

The two young Aussies came face-to-face in the area semi-finals of the Johnstone's Paint Trophy at the Alexandra Stadium.

And Inman was on target in a 4-1 win for the hosts, who are now just two games against Coventry away from a Wembley final.

The midfielder slotted home with a typically clinical finish for his fourth goal in eight starts for the Railwaymen. The 21-year-old had already scored seven Barclays Under-21 Premier League goals for the Magpies before heading out on loan.

That 88th minute goal put his side 3-1 up. Kyel Reid had put the Bantams ahead but Nathan Doyle scored an own goal to equalise and Max Clayton put Crewe ahead. Then, After Inman's strike, Arsenal loanee Chuks Aneke added a fourth

Both Inman and Good played the full 90 minutes for their respective sides.
