Magpies youngster Curtis Good helped Bradford City book their place at Wembley with a shock Capital One Cup semi-final victory over Aston Villa on Tuesday night.
The Bantams lost 2-1 in the second leg at Villa Park, but having triumphed 3-1 a fortnight previous, it gave them a 4-3 aggregate win and a final spot, where they will face either Chelsea or Swansea City next month at the national stadium.
Australian defender Good, who has been on loan from St. James' Park since November, started at left-back for the League Two outfit and played the full 90 minutes, impressing against international strikers Christian Benteke, Gabriel Agbonlahor, Andreas Weimann and Darren Bent.
Benteke flicked home to break the deadlock in favour of the hosts with 24 minutes on the clock, only for James Hanson to head Bradford level ten minutes into the second half.
Although Weimann scored Villa's second with time running out, the minnows hung on to claim an historic victory, becoming the first fourth tier club to reach the League Cup final in 51 years.
Good's loan spell at Bradford is due to finish on Saturday, 2nd February.
