Loan Watch: Curtis Beats Buddies

Written by Newcastle Utd

Curtis Good came up against Conor Newton and Adam Campbell on Sunday, and the Aussie defender came out on top

By Dan King - Newcastle United Digital Editor

Curtis Good got the better of Newcastle team-mates Conor Newton and Adam Campbell as Dundee United and St. Mirren met in the Scottish Cup on Sunday.

Australian defender Good played the whole game on his home debut for the Tannadice side, who were 2-1 winners against the Buddies.

Newton started on the right hand side of midfield in the televised fifth round tie before being replaced by Campbell for the final five minutes.

On Friday, Romain Amalfitano played for 69 minutes as Dijon drew 0-0 at Laval.

But Jonas Gutierrez played no part in Norwich's 0-0 draw with Manchester City on Saturday due to a calf injury, while Shane Ferguson wasn't involved as Birmingham won 2-0 at Charlton in the Championship.

And Rotherham's match away to Colchester was postponed, meaning no action for James Tavernier or Haris Vuckic.
