Shane Ferguson made his ninth appearance for Birmingham City as they beat Leeds United 1-0 at St. Andrew's on Saturday.

The Northern Irish international started but came off after 62 minutes - nine minutes before Hayden Mullins scored the only goal of the game to lift Lee Clark's side up to tenth.

But Middlesbrough continue to slide down the table as they lost 2-1 at Bolton, with former Newcastle defender Jonathan Woodgate sent off.

Sammy Ameobi played for 66 minutes at the Reebok Stadium.

In League One, Bradden Inman played the whole game as Crewe lost 1-0 to Yeovil.

Paul Dummett and Conor Newton both played 90 minutes as ten-man St. Mirren lost 2-1 to the Scottish Premier League's bottom club, Dundee.

Mehdi Abeid's St. Johnstone take on Ross County on Sunday.
