Llambias Calls For "Amazing" Atmosphere

Derek Llambias has called on Newcastle fans to pack out St. James' Park and roar the Magpies to Premier League safety

By Anthony Marshall - Newcastle United Managing Editor

Derek Llambias has called on Newcastle fans to pack out St. James' Park and roar the Magpies to Premier League safety.

With six home games remaining in the 2012/13 campaign, the Club has launched a ticket offer for the final fixtures, which sees supporters pay for five matches and receive a free seat at the Tyne-Wear derby.

Prices start from £110 for adults and £55 for juniors, and Llambias explained that a vociferous atmosphere on Tyneside between now and the middle of May will be crucial in helping United climb the table.

"What we are trying to achieve is to fill the stadium for the remainder of our home games," the Club's Managing Director told nufcTV in this interview.

"We want to get a great atmosphere here, to get behind the team and get behind the manager.

"It's a fantastic deal which is open to Members only, and I think they will get great value from it."

Llambias pointed to last weekend's dramatic 3-2 victory over Chelsea as to the sort of atmosphere which can be created inside St. James' Park.

"It was incredible," he continued.

"At 2-1 down the fans were still absolutely roaring and then when we got it back to 2-2 it was amazing.

"When Sissoko scored the winner, he said after that he's never experienced noise like it. It was quite a shock to him.

"And that's what we want."
