By Anthony Marshall - Newcastle United Managing Editor

Tim Krul has been named in Holland's provisional squad for their forthcoming World Cup qualifiers against Hungary and Turkey.

The Magpies goalkeeper has not played for his country for nearly eight months due to injury - his last cap coming in a friendly draw with Italy at the start of February.

However, Krul returns to the fold in a 25-man provisional party named by Netherlands coach Louis van Gaal, which includes fellow Premier League players Jonathan de Guzman (Swansea City), Robin van Persie (Manchester United), Ron Vlaar (Aston Villa), Michel Vorm (Swansea City) and Ricky van Wolfswinkel (Norwich City)

Holland face Hungary on Friday, 11th October at the Amsterdam Arena before travelling to Istanbul to take on Turkey four days later.
