Krul Looking For The Joy Of Six

Written by Newcastle Utd

Goalkeeper Tim Krul wants to make it six games unbeaten in all competitions as West Ham come to Tyneside on Sunday

By Anthony Marshall - Newcastle United Club Reporter

Tim Krul believes Newcastle's current unbeaten run should send them into Sunday's Premier League fixture with West Ham brimming with confidence.

The Magpies have gone five games without defeat in all competitions, and during that time picked up impressive top flight results away at Sunderland and Liverpool and at home against West Bromwich Albion.

This weekend the Hammers come to Tyneside for a 3pm kick-off, and while the big Dutch stopper believes it will be a tough clash, he is fully focussed on picking up all three points.

"It will be a hard game for us because West Ham have got a good team," Krul told nufc.co.uk.

"They've got more than just long balls and we need to be ready.

"But we will go into it with a lot of confidence. We have been unbeaten for a while now and we feel that we should definitely go out there for a win against West Ham at home.

"It's going to be a hard game and we have to make sure that everyone is up to speed and recovered well after a tough couple of days in the Europa League."
