Krul Confident Of Causing White Hart Pain

Tim Krul believes Newcastle will travel to Tottenham full of confidence on Sunday

By Anthony Marshall - Newcastle United Managing Editor

Tim Krul believes Newcastle will travel to Tottenham Hotspur full of confidence on Sunday, following last weekend's victory over Chelsea.

White Hart Lane has been anything but a happy hunting ground for the Magpies in recent years, with their last triumph there coming back in March 2008.

However, United have made a solid start to the current campaign and have already kept clean sheets against three London-based sides - West Ham, Fulham and Chelsea.

And with the likes of Loic Remy and Yoan Gouffran in their ranks, Krul insists there is no reason why they cannot return home from the capital with three points in the bag this weekend.

"We are going to Tottenham with a lot of confidence," said the Dutch international goalkeeper.

"It will be a hard game, we know that, but if we can beat Chelsea then why can't we go there and get something?

"They don't have (Gareth) Bale any more but they signed a lot of players over the summer and have a quality squad.

"Defensively they have been really strong but we have looked good going forward this season and we know we can cause them problems."
