Jamaican teenager Rolando Aarons is back from injury for Newcastle United under-18s' trip to Manchester United on Saturday (kick-off 12.30pm).
The first-year scholar impressed in pre-season and in last summer's Milk Cup but has made just one appearance this term, in September's win over Stoke, with two spells in the treatment room either side.
His return is another boost to Dave Watson after striker Tom Heardman made his comeback at Tottenham last weekend while Lewis Aird scored against Spurs in what was only his second run-out since returning from a 13-month lay-off.
Both players are included again for the trip to Carrington but Callum Roberts is missing through injury and Liam Smith is still not fully fit.
Newcastle were thrashed 7-1 by the Red Devils in September but bounced back to win their last two games and, having been beaten in each of their last two outings, this will be enough test of character for the young Magpies.
The full squad is: Tom Heardman, Steven Logan, Lewis Aird, Lee Desmond, Freddie Woodman, Jonathyn Quinn, Greg Olley, Macauley Booth, James Morgan, Alex Gilliead, Rolando Aarons, Jamie Sterry, Ben Drennan, Adam Armstrong, Kyle Cameron, Sam Busby, Daniel Barlaser.
