Daniel Barlaser started for Turkey's under-17s as they beat Norway in their second match of the La Manga Tournament on Friday afternoon.

The 17-year-old winger, who was born in Gateshead but is of Turkish descent, came from the bench in Wednesday's draw against Sweden.

And he was named in Hakan Tecimer's XI for the 2-0 victory over Norway before coming off at half time with his side 1-0 up through Fatih Aktay.

Fenerbache's Muhammet Samet Karakoc added the second in the 79th minute.

Turkey face Slovakia on Sunday in their final group game knowing that a win could be enough to see them qualify for the final on Tuesday, 11th February.
