Four full internationals will line up for a Newcastle United XI when they take on a side selected by cricket legend Steve Harmison on Thursday night.

The match, at Ashington's Woodhorn Lane ground, kicks off at 7pm and is part of Harmison's benefit year. The recently-retired bowler, who helped England win the Ashes in 2005, will face his boyhood heroes - including a host of famous faces.

John Carver will take the squad meaning Football Development Manager Peter Beardsley will pull on his boots, while First-Team Coach Steve Stone is also set to play.

Former Everton and England pair Dave Watson and Kevin Richardson, who both coach at the Club's Academy, will also feature along with a handful of players with first-team experience.

Gael Bigirimana, James Tavernier and Adam Campbell have all been named in the squad along with Jak Alnwick and Remie Streete, who have both been unused substitutes in the Barclays Premier League.

England youth internationals Adam Armstrong and Ben Drennan will also be involved along with Jonathyn Quinn and Macaulay Gillesphey, who were both born in Ashington.

Tickets are available on the gate, priced at £6 for adults and £1.50 for concessions.

The squad is: Rolando Aarons, Jak Alnwick, Adam Armstrong, Peter Beardsley, Gael Bigirimana, Adam Campbell, Ben Drennan, Macaulay Gillesphey, Jonathan Mitchell, Jonathyn Quinn, Kevin Richardson, Steve Stone, Remie Streete, James Tavernier, Dave Watson.
