Written by Newcastle Utd

Tottenham Hotspur have issued some important advice to Newcastle fans travelling to the match on Sunday

Tottenham Hotspur have issued some important advice to Newcastle United supporters travelling to the Barclays Premier League fixture at White Hart Lane on Sunday (noon kick-off).

Regarding smoke canisters and flares, they say:

Tottenham Hotspur is looking forward to welcoming Newcastle United fans to White Hart Lane on Sunday, however it is appealing to Newcastle United fans not to bring any smoke canisters or flares to the match.

It is advising fans that a rigorous search operation will be in place outside the turnstiles and any fan found trying to take smoke canisters or flares into the stadium, or discharging any once inside, will be arrested by Police and prosecuted.

Newcastle United will also take strong action against any such individual.

The club are also advising Newcastle United fans that a persistent standing operation will be in place at the match and is asking Newcastle United fans to ensure that they keep all aisles, gangways and walkways clear at all times.

Spurs have also issued the following notice regarding upgrading concession tickets on matchday:

We do not allow upgrades on concession tickets for visiting supporters on the day of the match at White Hart Lane.

Supporters are advised that if they require any tickets originally issued as juniors to be re-issued as adult tickets, they should be upgraded with the Newcastle United box office this week in order for an adult duplicate to be pre-arranged for collection on the day.
