Defensive ace Beye wins NUDSA Player of Season prize
HABIB Beye has been named the Newcastle United Disabled Supporters Association Player of the Season (2007/08).
And the Senegalese star collected his award at the NUDSA presentation night on August 21 in the glamorous surroundings of Club 206 at St. James' Park.
Beye's outstanding displays in his first season on Tyneside saw him poll most votes amongst the NUDSA members.
Secretary Stephen Miller said: "Habib had an excellent debut season at Newcastle and is a deserved winner of our award.
"He was a great credit to the Club when he came along to meet us and our members thoroughly enjoyed his company."
Beye is pictured with NUDSA member Terry Meadows receiving his award.
He follows in the footsteps of past winners James Milner (2006/07), Alan Shearer (2005/06) and Shay Given (2004/05).
