Georginio Wijnaldum scored the winner for Holland as they recorded a 2-1 friendly victory over Poland on Wednesday night.
The Magpies midfielder struck a fine left-footed effort past Wojciech Szczęsny to settle the game after goals from Dutch forward Vincent Janssen and Polish defender Artur Jedrzejczyk had left the match finely poised.
Wijnaldum - who bagged a brace for Newcastle on the final day of the season - had the final say, bagging his fifth goal for his country after turning in the box and firing beyond Szczęsny with just under quarter of an hour remaining at the Stadion Energa in Gdansk.
Meanwhile, young defender Lubo Satka lined up for Slovakia under-21s in their 1-1 draw at home to Ukraine under-20s on Wednesday.
The 20-year-old played the full 90 minutes at centre back in Poprad, and could now play his part when his side face and England 'C' team in Sutton on Sunday.
Satka, who spent part of the season just gone on loan at then-League Two side York City, made six appearances for the Minstermen over the course of the campaign before returning to St. James' Park.
