Get On The List For Season Tickets

For the first time in well over a decade, Newcastle United now have season ticket waiting lists for the most popular sections of the Sports Direct Arena.

The last time such measures were in place was in the year 2000, prior to the completion of the stadium's redevelopment. But following a hugely successful season, waiting lists for each stand have made a comeback.

With the Club securing a fifth-place finish in the Barclays Premier League and a return to European competition, league attendances on Tyneside averaged just under 50,000 for the 2011/12 campaign.

And with over 52,000 fans cramming into the stadium for six of our last seven home fixtures, supporters are now securing their places for next season, which kicks off in August.

Applications for seats in sought-after sections such as the Family Area, the East Stand and the South East Corner are now open and supporters on the list will be contacted first following the renewal deadline on May 31st.

A selection of seats in various parts of the ground remain on sale to new season ticket holders now, with areas in the Gallowgate End and the Sir John Hall Stand selling well.

However, fans wishing to be housed in our most popular areas are being urged to apply as soon as possible, and will be contacted by the Club from Friday 1st June should their application be successful.

Season ticket waiting lists were the norm back in the mid-1990s, with United flying high in the top flight. But with a capacity of just over 36,000, tickets were like gold dust for all home fixtures.

Now, following a memorable campaign under Alan Pardew, demand has risen once more, and new season ticket holders can also opt for the Club's nine-year price freeze option.
