Chris Foy will referee Newcastle United's trip to Tottenham Hotspur in the Barclays Premier League on Sunday (noon kick-off).
It is the second time this season the Lancashire-based official has taken charge of a Magpies match, following August's 1-0 home victory over Fulham. On that afternoon, Foy booked four players including Yohan Cabaye and match-winner Hatem Ben Arfa.
In total this season, he has overseen eight games across the Premier League, Championship and League One, issuing 22 yellow cards, two red cards and awarding two penalties.
Fifty-year-old Foy started officiating in 1983 and worked his way up the ranks before becoming a Premier League referee in 2001 - with his first appointment coming in December of that year as Bolton and Charlton played out a goalless draw.
He was in charge of the 2009 League Cup final and the following year's FA Cup final, his highest honours to date.
On Sunday at White Hart Lane, Foy will be assisted by Andy Garratt and Adrian Holmes, with Phil Dowd the game's fourth official.
