Ferguson Rejoins Blues

After a successful spell at Birmingham last term, young Shane Ferguson has signed another loan deal with the Blues

Shane Ferguson has rejoined Birmingham City on loan after a successful spell at St. Andrew's last season.

The Northern Ireland international has signed a season-long loan deal with Lee Clark's side, who finished 12th in the Championship in 2012/13.

Ferguson, who turned 22 earlier this month, arrived in the Midlands in March and made 11 appearances. He scored his first league goal with a stunning free-kick against Crystal Palace.

Having progressed through the Newcastle United Academy, Ferguson has made a total of 32 appearances for the Magpies in all competitions and remains highly rated at St. James' Park.

The Derry-born left-footer signed a five-year contract under Alan Pardew in the summer of 2011 and his progress with the Blues will be closely monitored by Club staff - and of course nufc.co.uk's popular Loan Watch feature.
