Fans Go Free At Tyne-Wear Derby

Written by Newcastle Utd

A special six-game ticket package has been launched, which includes free entry to April's Sunderland fixture

Newcastle United supporters can claim free entry to April's highly-anticipated Tyne Wear derby fixture after the club launched a special six-game ticket package covering all the Magpies' remaining home Barclays Premier League fixtures of the 2012/13 season.

The Six Game Package is available exclusively to Newcastle United Members, with the opportunity for Members to purchase up to two packages each.

With prices starting from as little as £110 for adults and just £55 for juniors, supporters purchasing the Six Game Package can catch every second of the Club's home run-in - with payment covering five games and no charge at all for the visit of local rivals Sunderland.

The Magpies entertain the Black Cats at St. James' Park on the provisional date of Saturday, 13th April, and with a general sale period unlikely following a prior Members-only window, the Six Game Package could be the only alternative to guaranteeing entry.

Alongside the visits of high-flying Arsenal and Liverpool, the Sunderland fixture is one of three included games which completely sold out last season, with Newcastle remaining unbeaten in all.

Derek Llambias, Newcastle United managing director, said: "We witnessed the effect that a full St. James' Park can have during the win over Chelsea at the weekend. The atmosphere that our fans generated was absolutely incredible and it undoubtedly contributed to what was a great afternoon.

"We are a Club that is geared towards success on the field so if we can help assist that by being creative with our ticketing and filling the stadium, then ultimately we have a responsibility to do that. We think this will be a very popular deal with our supporters ahead of some huge matches."

The Six Game Package kicks off with Newcastle United's next home Premier League game against Southampton, on Sunday 24th February, as Alan Pardew's side look to record back-to-back league wins on home soil following Saturday's thrilling 3-2 victory over Champions League holders Chelsea.

Next come Stoke City on Saturday 9th March, looking to atone for last season's 3-0 defeat on Tyneside, before Fulham arrive as the first of two consecutive weekend home games, on Saturday 6th April.

The Cottagers' visit also heralds a trio of headline fixtures, with Martin O'Neill's Sunderland making the short journey from Wearside a week later as the season heads towards its fascinating climax.

Liverpool, who were put to the sword at St. James' Park in April 2012 when Papiss Cissé bagged both goals in a 2-0 United win, will be Newcastle's penultimate home test on Saturday 27th April, before Arsène Wenger's Arsenal head north for one of the games of the season's final day - Sunday 19th May.

Supporters wishing to purchase the Six Game Package and secure their seat for every second of action at Newcastle United's home Barclays Premier League run-in, can do so by calling the Box Office on 0844 372 1892, visiting www.nufc.co.uk/ticketoffer or in person at the stadium store Box Office.
