Fancy A Flutter Against QPR?

Written by Newcastle Utd

Official Betting Partner Bet Butler provides Magpies fans with some tips ahead of Saturday's match against QPR

Newcastle United entertain Queens Park Rangers on Saturday at St. James' Park, and following an encouraging performance last weekend, will be confident of stopping a run of six defeats in their last seven games.

The Magpies will be given an even bigger boost when they see their home record against bottom-six teams; they've won 11 of their last 13 such matches, with eight half-time/ full-time doubles.

QPR finally got their first win of the season at the weekend but are winless in their last 22 away games, with 17 defeats.

Newcastle should be odds on here and look great value at 2.14.

The Newcastle Half-Time/Full-Time double at 3.50 is a nice way to boost the home win odds as they have scored first in nine of their last ten home matches against bottom six teams.

Goals look likely, as six of the nine Newcastle home games this season have seen three goals or more, with QPR having the same in five out of nine away games. Over 2.5 match goals looks value at 1.96.

A cracking bet to score first is Demba Ba at 5.5, as the front man has scored nine goals in his last 14 matches against bottom-six sides. Papiss Cisse is 6.0 to score first, with Shola Ameobi 8.0.
