Phil Dowd will referee Newcastle United's final Barclays Premier League fixture of the 2013/14 campaign, away at Liverpool on Sunday (3pm kick-off).
It is the fifth time the Staffordshire-based official has taken charge of a Magpies match this season, having been in the middle of home games with West Ham, West Bromwich Albion and Sunderland, as well as a trip to Everton.
Dowd last refereed United in their Tyne-Wear derby defeat against Sunderland in February, where he booked four players including Davide Santon and Paul Dummett.
In total this season he has been appointed to 33 games across the Premier League, FA Cup, Capital One Cup and Championship, issuing 150 yellow cards and six reds, and awarding five penalties.
Dowd, aged 51, began refereeing in local leagues in 1984, and having worked his way up through the ranks, joined the Football League's full list of referees in 1997.
He was promoted to the Premier League list in 2001, and took charge of his first top flight match in December that year as Fulham took on Everton.
The highlights of Dowd's career to date have been being appointed to the 2010 League Cup final, the 2011 FA Community Shield and the 2012 FA Cup final.
On Sunday at Anfield, Dowd's assistants will be Scott Ledger and Stephen Child, with Andre Marriner the game's fourth official.
