Adam Armstrong made it six international goals in the space of a week as he hit another double in England under-17s' European Championship qualifier against the Republic of Ireland on Tuesday.
The 16-year-old had already scored braces in victories over Armenia and Gibraltar and again started up front in the third and final match of the group.
John Peacock's Young Lions took an 18th minute lead through Chelsea's Isaiah Brown before Armstrong popped up in the 36th minute to make it 2-0.
And three minutes into the second half, the former Walbottle Campus Technology College pupil gobbled up the rebound after Ryan Ledson's shot was parried.
Not to be outdone, Brown then got a second goal of his own as England went 4-0 up before Fulham's Patrick Roberts added a fifth.
In stoppage time, skipper Ledson scored from the penalty spot as England reached the next qualifying stage as group winners.
Armstrong, who has scored five times in seven Barclays Under-21 Premier League appearances for Newcastle this season and was included in the first-team squad which travelled to Morecambe in the Capital One Cup in August, now has five caps for his country at under-17 level and seven goals.
