Craig Is New St. Mirren Boss

Written by Newcastle Utd

Former Newcastle midfielder Tommy Craig has been appointed as St. Mirren's new manager

By Dan King - Newcastle United Digital Editor

Tommy Craig has been unveiled as St. Mirren's new manager.

The former Newcastle United midfielder had been assistant manager to Danny Lennon, whose Buddies contract will not be renewed despite masterminding their Scottish League Cup success in 2012/13.

But now Craig will take the top job at St. Mirren Park and has appointed players Gary Teale and Jim Goodwin to assist him.

Last season, Magpies duo Conor Newton and Adam Campbell spent time on loan with the Saints as they finished eighth in the Scottish Premier League.
