Newcastle United's Northumberland FA Senior Cup quarter-final tie at home to Ashington will take place this month

By Dan King - Newcastle United Club Reporter

Newcastle United Reserves' Northumberland FA Senior Cup quarter-final tie against Ashington will be played later this month.

The match, at Whitley Park in Benton, has been scheduled for Tuesday, November 29.

Kick-off will be at 7.30pm.

The Magpies are the current holders of the trophy after beating Blyth 4-0 in the final at St. James' last May.

United knocked out Ashington at the semi-final stage, winning 2-0 thanks to goals from Bradden Inman and Michael Richardson.

And Newcastle's second-string were 2-1 winners at the Northern League side's Woodhorn Lane ground in pre-season, with Inman and Phil Airey on target.
