Newcastle United 0

SECOND HALF UPDATES

WHISTLE-MDC-icons90+4mins: Ameobi fires over the top for United after a decent run and with that, it's all over here at Stamford Bridge. Click here for the match report.

90+3mins: Mourinho shakes Pardew's hand, then heads down the tunnel. He knows his side have done enough to claim another three points towards their title challenge.

90+1mins: German international Schurrle fires over the bar as a few of the home fans begin to head towards the exits.

Yellow-Card-MDC-icons90mins: Sissoko is booked for upending Salah. There will be four minutes of stoppage time.

89mins: Gosling sees a shot blocked by Azpilicueta after receiving the ball from Sissoko.

87mins: Another chances goes begging for Salah as he is put clean through but is denied by Krul, who throws out an arm to block. Then United counter and Sissoko plays in Marveaux but the substitute can only find the side-netting when he looked certain to score. Some of the away supporters thought it was in as the net rippled.

86mins: Salah drags wide after a quick Chelsea break - Williamson seemed to be fouled so it's just as well that it didn't go in.

SUB-MDC-icons85mins: Both sides make their third and final change as Sylvain Marveaux replaces Anita while Andre Schurrle comes on for hat-trick hero Hazard.

83mins: Anita does well to come out with the ball after a challenge with Cahill and then plays the ball up to De Jong, who turns and shoots but can't generate enough power to trouble Cech.

SUB-MDC-icons78mins: Willian makes way for Chelsea new boy Mohamed Salah.

77mins: Ameobi rolls the ball into the feet of De Jong who holds it up well, then plays the ball back to Ameobi who shoots just wide.

SUB-MDC-icons71mins: Demba Ba, the former Newcastle striker, is on in place of Eto'o who has really rolled back the years this afternoon.

SUB-MDC-icons64mins: Dan Gosling was about to come on anyway and now he replaces Ben Arfa.

GOAL-MDC-icons63mins - CHELSEA GOAL (3-0): Hazard has his hat-trick; he stepped up, gave Krul the eyes and slotted home to make it 3-0.

PENALTY-MDC-icons62mins: Chelsea have been given a penalty - Newcastle appeared to have defended Lampard's corner but Webb spotted an apparent tug by Yanga-Mbiwa on Eto'o at the far post and pointed to the spot. However there's no second yellow for the defender, who was booked seconds earlier.

Yellow-Card-MDC-icons61mins: Yanga-Mbiwa is booked for a foul on Hazard as the Belgian headed towards the box. Lampard goes for goal from the free kick and Krul does well to push his powerful strike over the bar.

58mins: Mike Williamson makes a superb tackle on Eto'o inside the box to keep the score at 2-0.

57mins: Krul will continue although Alan Pardew will be keeping an eye on his goalkeeper over the next few minutes to see if he can shake off that injury.

55mins: It seems that Krul may have hurt himself as he stumbled - Rob Elliot has been sent to warm up and now Krul is receiving treatment.

52mins: Nearly a horrendous moment for United as David Luiz pumps the ball upfield, Krul comes to gather on the edge of his box but then slips and can only watch as the ball rolls just wide of the unguarded net.

Yellow-Card-MDC-icons49mins: Ameobi is booked as he trips Ivanovic just outside the box following an inventive flick from Willian.

WHISTLE-MDC-icons46mins: Chelsea get the second half started. There are no changes from either side at the break.

FIRST HALF UPDATES

WHISTLE-MDC-icons45+2mins: Howard Webb blows for half time and Chelsea lead 2-0 with Hazard proving to be the difference with his double. Either side of those goals, which came seven minutes apart, Newcastle have competed well but the Belgian is at the top of his game right now and Jose Mourinho's side are on song too. Click here for a half time report.

45mins: Santon's free kick finds Ameobi, whose low cross looks set to be thumped home by Paul Dummett only for the ball to be stolen off the defender's toe at the expense of a corner, which United waste. There will be two minutes of added time.

44mins: Gary Cahill plays the ball out of defence and finds Willian, who in turn plays in dangerman Hazard. He gets in a shot but for once, he's off target as the ball sails over the bar.

SUB-MDC-icons40mins: From the left, Sissoko floats a nice ball towards De Jong and the Dutchman gets in a good header but Cech is able to keep it out and hold. Then Debuchy, clearly still struggling with that calf problem, is replaced by Yanga-Mbiwa.

38mins: Willian blazes over after a decent Steven Taylor block. They found Newcastle hard to break down at first but now Chelsea are playing with style and swagger.

GOAL-MDC-icons34mins - CHELSEA GOAL (2-0): Now that missed opportunity looks even more costly as Chelsea double their lead. From a United corner, the home side break; Hazard runs down the left, then plays the ball into the feet of Eto'o who produces a sublime flick to find the run of his team-mate. One touch is all it takes for Hazard to beat the exposed Krul and his fine form continues at Newcastle's expense.

33mins: A glorious chance for Newcastle. Santon slides a great reverse pass through for Sissoko to run onto and the captain goes one-on-one with Cech but Chelsea's keeper makes a vital block.

31mins: Lampard pumps in a free kick, De Jong heads it away but Hazard is lurking 20 yards from goal and shoots narrowly wide.

GOAL-MDC-icons27mins - CHELSEA GOAL (1-0): That man Hazard opens the scoring with a well-worked goal. He plays the ball out to Branislav Ivanovic on the right, then makes himself available to receive it again and sweeps a low shot beyond Krul. One moment of quality has changed the complexion of this game although United remain very much in the match.

26mins: United lose the ball in their own half and Chelsea almost punish them as Matic and Eto'o work the ball to Oscar, whose strike zips just wide.

24mins: Willian glides forwards before sliding the ball into the feet of Hazard. The Belgian drills in a wonderful low cross from the right but Krul is out bravely to cut it out.

19mins: Sammy Ameobi does well to dribble past a couple of challenges and find Sissoko, who drags a shot wide of the target. Chelsea have looked slick at times but this has been a decent opening 20 minutes from the Magpies.

17mins: Ben Arfa seems to be in the mood today and he pops up on the right before working his way into a shooting position just inside the box but again his low effort lacks power and Cech gathers quite easily.

16mins: After receiving treatment from physio Michael Harding, Debuchy looks ready to play on although it remains to be seen if he can see out the full game.

14mins: Mathieu Debuchy has just pulled up with what looks to be a calf injury. Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa, Massadio Haidara and Dan Gosling have been sent to warm up and Debuchy looks to be really struggling.

11mins: Hazard and Eto'o combine well to tee up Lampard in that pocket just outside the penalty area and the midfielder's low shot has Krul falling to his right to hold.

9mins: Ben Arfa shrugs off Oscar as he jinks into the box and his shot forces Petr Cech into a save, although there wasn't enough power to seriously test the Blues keeper.

7mins: Eto'o rolls the ball to Lampard whose shot from the edge of the box is bravely blocked by Santon, who has made a tidy start in his new midfield role.

5mins: Stand-in skipper Moussa Sissoko latches onto the ball in midfield after good pressure from De Jong on Nemanja Matic and lets fly from about 40 yards out. The ball soars over the bar but it was worth a hit from the Frenchman.

4mins: After a Steven Taylor foul on Samuel Eto'o, Frank Lampard lines up a free kick from 30 yards out and sends a decent strike whistling just wide.

2mins: Hatem Ben Arfa surrenders possession to Cesar Azpilicueta and the ball runs to Eden Hazard, the man in form. He wriggles into the box and drives a low shot towards goal but Tim Krul gets his body behind it.

WHISTLE-MDC-icons1min: Newcastle, in their black and white home kit, take kick off through Hatem Ben Arfa and Vurnon Anita. Chelsea, wearing blue, will attack towards the Shed end in the first half. Straight away Davide Santon picks out the run of Luuk de Jong, whose first touch is good but he can't muscle his way past a posse of defenders.
