Cameron Ready For York Return

Kyle Cameron looks ahead to Saturday's friendly against York City, where he spent half of last season on loan

Newcastle United Under-21s continue their preparations for the 2016/17 campaign with a trip to York City on Saturday - and for two of the Magpies' young players, it represents a return to familiar surroundings.
Kyle Cameron, along with United teammate Lubo Satka, spent the second half of last season on loan with the Minstermen, who were then battling to preserve their Football League status.
After joining York in January, Cameron made his league debut, going on to play 18 times under Jackie McNamara, scoring his first league goal against Hartlepool United.
That temporary stint at Bootham Crescent gave the 19-year-old an early taste of the highs and lows that come thick and fast in a battle at the bottom of the table and, despite the club suffering relegation to the National League back in May, Cameron says he's looking forward to returning to the ground where he impressed last term.
"I'll be going back to where I was last season, and it'll be good to see the gaffer and the assistant, but a lot of the players have changed over the summer," he told nufc.co.uk. "They've had a lot of new faces come in, so there'll only be one or two faces that I recognise.
"But it'll be great to see everyone and say hello, and hopefully we can get another win and keep pushing on.
"I'm looking forward to going back there, but we want to go there and win, and that's the main thing."
Peter Beardsley's under-21s have won all of their four games so far this pre-season, beating Bradford Park Avenue, Darlington, Corby Town and PSV Eindhoven - scoring 12 and conceding just one in the process.
McNamara's York, meanwhile, have readied themselves for life outside of the league pyramid by bringing in the likes of former Hartlepool United forward Scott Fenwick, ex-Forest Green Rovers defender Clovis Kamdjo and Yan Klukowski, who was released by Newport County in the summer.
"They look like they've made some good signings over the summer, and they're in the National league. We haven't played a National League team yet, we've only played National League north and south teams, so it's another league up for us," said centre half Cameron, who scored Newcastle's goal in the Steel Park Cup-winning 1-0 victory over PSV last weekend.
"But it's another game that we've got to look to get a win from, take positives from and just look to build on that.
"A game's a game at the end of the day, and you've just got to win every game that you possibly can."
Tickets for the 3pm kick-off at Bootham Crescent on Saturday are priced at £12 for adults and £6 for concessions.
