Newcastle United teenager Kyle Cameron has extended his loan spell at York City until the end of the season

Newcastle United teenager Kyle Cameron has extended his loan spell at York City until the end of the season.

The left-sided defender, who can play at centre-half or full-back, originally joined the League Two side on a month's loan, which was due to expire this weekend.

However, after four appearances for the Minstermen, in which they have picked up four points, Cameron will now remain at Bootham Cresent until the end of the 2015/16 campaign.

Nineteen-year-old Cameron is a current Scotland under-19 international, and former captain of the Magpies' under-18 side. Prior to his loan to York, he was a regular for Peter Beardsley's under-21 side.
