Academy chief says Aussie's senior involvement was just reward for his progression

AUSSIE playmaker Brad Inman returns to the City of Manchester Stadium on Wednesday night just seven days after his first taste of the senior set-up as an unused substitute for Joe Kinnear's first team.
The 17-year-old has been outstanding for United's Under-18s so far this season and has been a key player in their progression to the Fifth Round of the FA Youth Cup.
And Academy Manager Richard Money believes that last week's call-up was just reward for the Adelaide-born starlet's eye-catching displays.
"I think he deserved the first-team call-up if I'm honest," Money told nufcTV as he looked ahead to Wednesday's cup clash against Man City.
"He's had a particularly good first season. A number of our first years have done the same but he's probably shone above the rest.
"It's a big boost for everyone involved in the youth programme when you get a 17-year-old boy on the bench, it's a bit special."
And Inman, a ball-playing midfielder, is a youngster Money hopes could have a big future on Tyneside.
"We like him a lot," he added.
"He's a good passer, comfortable on the ball and has got a great attitude.
"He's still very young but we hope he could have a good future here at Newcastle."
