By Anthony Marshall - Newcastle United Managing Editor

Hatem Ben Arfa has joined Hull City on loan until the end of the season.

The French forward, aged 27, joined Newcastle United from Marseille in August 2010, initially on loan, before making the move permanent four months later. To date, he has played 86 games for the Magpies, scoring 14 goals.

Under the terms of the deal, Ben Arfa will be ineligible to play against United when Hull come to St. James' Park in Barclays Premier League action on Saturday, 20th September, and in the reverse fixture at the end of January.
