Beardsley's Under-21s Host Arsenal

Fresh from winning the Northumberland Senior Cup on Tuesday, United's under-21s wrap up their league campaign at home to Arsenal on Friday afternoon

Before Newcastle travel to Arsenal for Monday night's Barclays Premier League game, the two clubs' under-21 sides meet at the Magpies' training ground on Friday (kick-off 1pm).

The match - which will be played behind closed doors at United's Benton base - will be United's last league game of the season at this level.

Peter Beardsley has named a similar squad to Tuesday night's Techflow Group Northumberland FA Senior Cup final victory over Blyth Spartans but goalkeeper Jonathan Mitchell, who has kept clean sheets in his last two outings, is unavailable.

That could mean another appearance for 15-year-old Paul Woolston, who hit the headlines with his performance against Manchester United last month, or a competitive under-21 debut for Freddie Woodman.

Gael Bigirimana, who scored United's fourth against Blyth, is again the only player in the group to boast top flight experience.

The squad is: Rolando Aarons, Daniel Barlaser, Gael Bigirimana, Liam Gibson, Alex Gilliead, Macaulay Gillesphey, Olivier Kemen, Kevin Mbabu, Ryan McKinnon, Greg Olley, Jonathyn Quinn, Michael Richardson, Lubo Satka, Callum Williams, Freddie Woodman, Paul Woolston.
