Adjei Joins Hartlepool On Loan

Written by Newcastle Utd

Newcastle's Samuel Adjei has joined Hartlepool United on a one-month emergency loan and could make his debut on Saturday

Swedish winger Samuel Adjei has joined League One neighbours Hartlepool United on an emergency loan until the end of the month.

The 20-year-old has been on trial with Pools for the past few days and scored during their Reserve team victory over Hull this week.

Since joining Newcastle from IFK Norrkoping in January 2009, the pacy wideman has had to contend with several injuries - although he did play for the first-team in a pre-season friendly at Huddersfield in July 2009, appearing as a 74th minute substitute.

This season, he has made four Barclays Premier Reserve League appearances for the Magpies after missing virtually the whole of the last campaign.

He has been given the squad number 17 at Victoria Park and is eligible to make his Hartlepool debut in their home game against MK Dons on Saturday - a game which could see him come face-to-face with fellow Newcastle loanees Alan Smith and James Tavernier.
