Aarons Looks Ahead To Chelsea

Written by Newcastle Utd

Rolando Aarons is keen to help United build on last weekend's win when they travel to Chelsea

By Dominic Scurr

Rolando Aarons is hoping Newcastle United can maintain the same level of performance they demonstrated against West Bromwich Albion when they travel to Chelsea on Saturday.

An accomplished performance from the Magpies saw them claim a valuable 1-0 over the Baggies last time out, and Aarons is keen to be involved at Stamford Bridge - even if it means playing left-back once again.

"It's obviously an important game for us," Aarons told nufc.co.uk, ahead of United's trip to the Barclays Premier League champions.

"Every game between now and the end of the season is going to be vital and Chelsea is one of them.

"They're in a much better situation compared to the last time we played them, so it's going to be tough.

"But there's a lot of good players in our squad and we've shown how good we can be. Now we have to reproduce that (against Chelsea).

"We're going there to win. If I have to play left-back again then so be it.  I haven't played a lot of first team football so I'm happy to help out the team any way I can."
