A Brighter Shade Of Grey

Work is well underway on returning the Gallowgate End to its former glory, thanks to Wonga.com

By Anthony Marshall - Newcastle United Managing Editor

The Gallowgate End roof is more than halfway towards returning to its former glory, thanks to new Club sponsors Wonga.com.

Following the start of their sponsorship deal, which officially began last Monday, the digital finance company set about removing the existing Sports Direct logo, which has spanned the giant roof space for the last few years.

And little of the sign now remains, having been painted over by local Dunston-based company Just Signs and Lighting Ltd, with the whole area due to return to its traditional grey colour in time for the start of the 2013/14 campaign.

We will continue to keep you updated right here at nufc.co.uk with exclusive photos throughout the process.

Season ticket holders have until Friday to renew their season tickets for the 2012/13 campaign. For more information, click here
