Newcastle United will kick off their 2015/16 Barclays Premier League campaign at home to Southampton
Newcastle United will kick off their 2015/16 Barclays Premier League campaign at home to Southampton after the fixtures for the new football season were released on Wednesday morning.
United will entertain the Saints at St. James' Park on the provisional date of Saturday, 8th August, before travelling to South Wales to face Swansea City in their first away game just seven days later, on Saturday, 15th August.
The Magpies will get their first chance to taste Tyne-Wear derby day success on Saturday, 24th October, when they take on Sunderland at the Stadium of Light. The reverse fixture at St. James' Park will take place on Saturday, 19th March. Supporters are reminded that these fixture dates are subject to change.
The Club's Christmas schedule will see Newcastle at home on Boxing Day against Roberto Martinez's Everton, before back-to-back away games at West Bromwich Albion, on Monday, 28th December, and Arsenal on Saturday, 2nd January.
An action-packed campaign will come to a conclusion with a home fixture against Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday, 15th May.
