2013/14 Fixtures Announced

The fixtures for next season have been announced, with Newcastle handed an away game on the opening day
Newcastle United will kick off their 2013/14 Barclays Premier League campaign away to Manchester City after the fixtures for the new football season were released on Wednesday morning.
United will travel to the Etihad Stadium on the provisional date of Saturday, 17th August, taking on Manuel Pellegrini's men at 3pm, before facing West Ham United at St. James' Park in their opening home game just seven days later on Saturday, 24th August.
The Magpies will get their first chance to taste derby day success on Saturday, 26th October when they travel to the Sunderland's Stadium of Light. The reverse fixture at St. James' Park will take place on Saturday, 1st February. Supporters are reminded that these fixture dates are subject to change.
The Club's Christmas schedule will see Newcastle heading to London to face newly-promoted Crystal Palace on Saturday, 21st December before back-to-back home games against Stoke City on Boxing Day and Arsenal on Saturday, 28th December. The Magpies will travel to West Bromwich Albion on New Year's Day 2014.
An action-packed campaign will come to a conclusion with a trip to Merseyside on Sunday, 11th May when United travel to Anfield to face Liverpool.
