United's under-18s beaten by the Potters
United had England under-17 international defender Lewis Gibson sent off in the 15th minute as he challenged Rachide Balde, and from the resulting penalty, Jordan Greenidge converted.
Dave Watson's side coped well with their numerical disadvantage, though, and there were no further goals before the break.
And in the 53rd minute, Owen Bailey found Adam Wilson, who in turn played in Callum Smith. The curly-haired wideman was brought down by goalkeeper Mitchell Allen, who was sent off, and Smith confidently tucked away the spot-kick.
But six minutes later, Kristofer Szerjo's cross was prodded home by Balde.
United pressed for an equaliser through substitute Thomas Allan and with virtually the last kick of the game, Kelland Watts struck the angle of bar and post, but Stoke picked up all three points at Little Benton.
