Eddie Howe will be in the dugout at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday after returning a negative Covid test, but although Newcastle United's new head coach has not been able to be at the Magpies' training ground this week - and had to isolate for last weekend's draw with Brentford - Howe has already made some big differences following his appointment earlier this month.
That's the view of midfielder Jonjo Shelvey, who spoke to NUFC TV ahead of the game against the Gunners. United have only ever won once at the Emirates, but they will be looking to change that in the 12.30pm (GMT) kick-off - and have no new injury problems other than Dwight Gayle, who is a doubt with a hamstring complaint.
The home side also have no fresh fitness concerns, with Granit Xhaka and Sead Kolašinac their only confirmed absentees and Kieran Tierney and Martin Ødegaard both pushing for recalls.
