Teenage goalkeeper Jonathan Mitchell has rejoined Skrill North side Workington on loan.
Hartlepool-born Mitchell, who signed a new one-year contract with Newcastle in the summer, spent part of last season on loan at Borough Park.
And he has now agreed a one-month youth loan which will also allow him to continue playing for the Magpies at under-21 level.
The 18-year-old played for United against Workington last month.
Speaking to nufc.co.uk ahead of that game, he said: "It was a great experience for me there. I'd been used to playing under-18 and under-21 football but it means a bit more at that level. It's people's livelihoods, people's jobs, and it all feels a bit more important.
"You're playing against men and that was really useful. After the loan spell, I came back to Newcastle and played in a few under-18 games and I felt like I'd learnt a lot even in that short space of time."
Mitchell's loan runs until September 15th. He becomes the second Magpies youngster to head to Cumbria this week after Adam Campbell joined Carlisle on loan.
