It took just four minutes for Adam Armstrong to give Newcastle's under-21s the lead against Aston Villa but it was short-lived.

Calum Robinson equalised three minutes later before an unfortunate James Morgan own goal saw the Villans go into half-time in front.

A Daniel Johnson penalty added to their advantage but Haris Vuckic pulled one back before Adam Campbell missed a great opportunity to equalise.

Instead, Robinson scored twice and Johnson once late on to give the scoreline a harsh look at Burton's Pirelli Stadium.
