Newcastle's ticket allocation for the Carling Cup tie against Chelsea on Wednesday, September 22 has been snapped up by loyal United supporters.
All 1,438 tickets given to the club have been sold, despite the game still being ten days away, and United boss Chris Hughton was full of praise for those planning on making the long trip to Stamford Bridge.
"Once again, our fans have surpassed themselves," he said. "To sell out an allocation of almost 1,500 for a midweek game in London with well over a week to go before the game is amazing - but nothing surprises me about our supporters.
"It is a support we very much appreciate and the team that goes out there at Stamford Bridge will be determined to make the trip worthwhile for those loyal fans."
