Fabricio Coloccini is already a hugely popular figure amongst Newcastle fans - but believes Sunday's derby game against Sunderland can turn he and his team-mates into heroes.
The Argentine ace scored United's last-minute equaliser in their last game at St. James' Park to continue his fine start to the season, and is relishing the clash with rivals Sunderland.
The curly-haired colossus revealed ahead of the match: "We know the game can make us into a hero."
Speaking to The Chronicle, he added: "This is a very important game, but I don't want to make history in one goal against Sunderland. I want to write a history over a long period.
"But we know how important this game is, and we have to win it. We have to think only of the three points.
