At the Etihad Stadium
Yoan Gouffran makes his first Barclays Premier League appearance of the season as Newcastle United travel to Manchester City (3pm kick-off).
The Frenchman has only featured once so far this term - in a Capital One Cup victory over Northampton Town - but has been recalled to the Magpies' starting line-up at the Etihad Stadium, and is expected to be handed a central-midfield role.
Gouffran's inclusion is an enforced change, following a hamstring injury to Jack Colback, and that is the only alteration to United's ranks from last weekend's excellent 2-2 draw with champions Chelsea.
On the substitutes' bench there are places for Cheick Tiote and Papiss Cisse, who have recovered from respective knee and back injuries, and they are joined by Florian Thauvin, Siem de Jong, Mike Williamson, Jamaal Lascelles and goalkeeper Rob Elliot.
Manchester City (4-2-3-1): Joe Hart (c); Pablo Zabaleta, Eliaquim Mangala, Nicolas Otamendi, Aleksandar Kolarov; Fernandinho, Fernando; Kevin De Bruyne, Raheem Sterling, David Silva; Sergio Aguero
