The iron gates which stood at St. James' Park between 1989 and 1999 are back at the stadium after a 14 year absence.

Club sponsors wonga.com joined NUFC Fans United, the Magpie Group and the Club to make it happen and the gates were unveiled on Saturday ahead of the opening home game of the season against West Ham.

Junior Magpie Finley McGhie helped Sir John Hall to cut the rope and nufcTV were there to cover the ceremony.
