ENTERTAINERS off and on the pitch - that's the mantle worthy of Peter Beardsley, Pavel Srnicek and Steven Taylor as they made sure the latest Shearer's Bar Q&A night with the fans was another success.

Hosted by Radio Newcastle's Mick Lowes, the three fans' favourites had almost 25 years of Magpie memories to recall in front of a packed house.

Pedro had the bar laughing as he revealed how he had to travel halfway around the world to Canada before coming back to play for his hometown club, and how Arthur Cox and the Kevin Keegan factor were just too much of a temptation to resist.

The Geordie genius also had some great tales about sharing a dressing room with Tino Asprilla and he picked out his favourite games from his two memorable stints in black and white.

Young defender Steven Taylor also gave some honest answers about how the squad hope to be doing better next term after a difficult season that has been hampered by cruel luck with injuries.

And one of the highlights of the night was a rousing chorus of 'Pavel Is A Geordie' as the Czech keeper was introduced on stage and he then proceeded to conduct the singing crowd!

We've had the BIGGEST names at Shearer's Bar throughout the season with the likes of Shay Given and Michael Owen also taking the mike to talk to fans.
