SHEPHERD Offshore Ltd announced on Tuesday, January 18, 2006, that it has further increased its shareholding in Newcastle United PLC.

The company has acquired a further 234,527 shares at 44.9p, taking its holding to 36,560,754 shares. This equates to 27.47% of the issued ordinary share capital.
