NEWCASTLE United have been offered the Serbian Peter Crouch in exchange for Jose Enrique, according to reports.
The Daily Express and Daily Star claim that Valencia want to take Enrique back to Spain and are using 6ft 7ins Nikola Zigic as bait.

The Star goes on to write that Kevin Keegan still has his eyes on £11m-rated Galatasary playmaker Arda Turan with reports in Turkey suggesting United have already lodged a £9m bid for the 21-year-old.

The Times carries the same story while adding that the Magpies are also interested in signing Austrian striker Roland Linz from Sporting Braga.
Elsewhere, the Northern Echo says that all three top flight North East clubs are tracking Chelsea midfielder Steve Sidwell with the Blues warning that the former Reading star will not be allowed to leave on the cheap.
