FORMER Newcastle United hitman Andy Cole could soon be joining old Magpie pal Lee Clark at Norwich City.
Various newspapers report that the 36-year-old is in talks with ex-Toon boss Glenn Roeder over a free transfer switch to Carrow Road with Clark the current No.2 at the Norfolk club.
Cole, second only to Alan Shearer in the all-time Premier League scoring charts, spent the back end of last season on loan at Burnley but turned down a permanent move to Turf Moor despite netting six times in 13 outings.
Elsewhere, another former United manager, Sam Allardyce, is said to be being lined up as a possible replacement for Mark Hughes at Blackburn should the Welshman take up the vacant position at Manchester City.
